Maevis The FIP Warrior
While scrolling through my Facebook Feed, I came across Maevis the FIP Warrior's page and quickly wanted to know more about Maevis and FIP. After reading about FIP and Maevis' journey, I wanted to know more. I even got to meet one of Maevis' moms Elaine Johnson (EJ) at Concord Pet Supply Store where they were holding a fundraiser the day that I went.
Maevis was adopted along with another kitten by EJ and Donna from Judge's Park in Pennsylvania. Within a few days of being home, EJ and Donna noticed that something wasn't quite right with Maevis. A trip to Companion Animal Veterinary Associates in Middletown confirmed that Maevis was sick and that's where the journey begins. In the interview you will find out what FIP is, how it is treated, the costs, how to obtain the medication, and yes spoiler alert, Maevis has a clean bill of health after 84 days of treatment and 84 days of observation.
